LIVE ILLUSTRATION

I live illustrate academic conferences, cultural events and community conversations. I draw while I listen, recording what is happening in real time with live illustrations and sketchnotes. Live illustration is the incarnation of active listening: it is dependent on what is happening and in turn influences the thinking process of the audience, thus creating a memorable experience of co-creation, amplifying people’s voices and making them feel heard. It offers a visual legacy of the event and keeps the momentum going. 

I also explore how to expand my live illustration practice with creative technologies through various R&D projects.
