About

Camille is a live illustrator and cartoonist. She draws live during academic conferences, industry and cultural events and records what is happening in real time with live illustrations and sketchnotes. It offers a visual legacy of the event and keeps the momentum going. She also creates (non-live) illustrations and cartoons for editorial, research publications, educational and campaign projects. She interprets difficult concepts and ideas with efficient, thought-provoking visuals. These offer another layer of reading and understanding to a project and support its ripple effect beyond publication date. Social & climate justice, as well as accessibility, are recurrent themes in her work where she strives to amplify marginalised voices.

Camille has been a resident of Watershed’s Pervasive Media Studio since December 2019, where she explores ways to enhance her live illustration practice with the help of creative technologies through various R&D projects. She is particularly interested in creating live drawn set designs, by projecting her live illustrations during various performances to expand their reach.

Organisations Camille works for include: CARGO Classroom, Artes Mundi, British Heart Foundation, In Between Time, Theatre Bristol, Bristol Good Food, Citizens In Power, Sustrans, Knowle West Media Centre, the Centre For Disaster Protection, Chronic Poverty Advisory Network (CPAN), Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Culture Connect, the NHS, World Health Organisation, Citéco, University of Bristol, University of the West of England, University of the Arts London, the Young Foundation, ClearView Research, Bath Spa University, Royal College of Music, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of Coventry, Kings College London, Watershed,…
